Briefmarken Weine
Printed Matters, Signage
From Stamps to Sips.
Signage
Once a letter stamp shop in the GDR era, Briefmarken Weine at Strausberger Platz in Berlin has been transformed into a hip Italian wine bar. This unique blend of history and modernity provided a rich backdrop for a creative redesign project. The challenge was to honor the space's historical significance while creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere for wine enthusiasts.

Lovely Lunch
The redesigned logo needed to maintain the charm of the original, featuring a wine glass and a fox inside a wine bottle—a nod to the fox, an emblematic figure of the city. I refined this imagery to give it a more polished and modern look, ensuring it resonated with both locals and visitors. For the menus and wine list, I embraced the bar’s origins by incorporating typewriter-style typography, evoking the nostalgia of the old letter stamp shop and creating a unique, cohesive identity.

Wine List
The straightforward graphic design concept seamlessly blended the historical elements of the old stamp shop with the modern vibes of an Italian wine bar. The typewriter aesthetics in the menu and wine list provided a tactile reminder of the location’s past, while the updated logo added a contemporary touch. This thoughtful integration of old and new elements created a distinctive brand identity that respects the heritage of the space and appeals to a modern clientele.
